General responsibilities of an At-Large Council Member:
· Assist the pastor in setting and implementing long-term goals for the physical and spiritual growth of the parish through prayerful discernment and communication with the parish community.
-Serve a three-year term
· Attend all Council meetings (minimum of four meetings per year).
· Serve as their Commission’s representative to the Council.
· Serve as a voting member of their Commission (minimum of four meetings per year).
I’m happy to accept a nomination for an at-large membership to the Parish Council. Our family believes it’s important to participate in the Parish community in any ways we can. As you know, my wife Jennifer has served on the school commission for the past few years, and our family has appreciated the opportunity to be a voice of parents in that regard. I’d like to continue our service on the Parish Council and participate in the deliberative policy making process to help continue guiding the Parish and its ministries into the future.
We’ve been Nativity Parishioners since 2017 when we moved from the north side of Indy. My wife and I are life-long Catholics and have been educated through the Catholic Schools (Jennifer is from Evansville, and I grew up in the Christ the King Parish, going to grade school there in the late 80s and high school at Bishop Chatard—class of ‘95). Now, our four children all attend Nativity (going into grades 8, 6, 4, and 3) and are honor roll achievers and generally highly regarded students.
I’ve volunteered in various ways over the years, and am now a part of the Nativity Fathers Group, and am the boys basketball coordinator for the Athletic Department. Joining the Parish Council would be a great way to perhaps more meaningfully impact the Parish community as a whole, and I would be honored to participate.
Adding to your consideration of my nomination, I am a career attorney, having practiced various areas of law throughout my 23-year career. Over half of my career was in the litigation practice (notably also representing a Catholic Archdioses—which shall remain unnamed—in various instances), where I’ve developed a good sense of strategic thinking, and risk evaluation and mitigation, and dispute resolution. I now practice corporate law, which leverages my prior professional litigation experience in advising my company on creative and compliant solutions to complex problems, in ways that calculate and manage risk, while enabling stability and growth of the business. My work requires continuous evaluation of multiple interest and perspectives and a steadfast and deliberate approach in recommending strategic action to achieve client goals. These skills seem particularly applicable to, and would likely be a nice complimentary perspective to the current Council membership.
Because our children have now been at the school for several years, and have several more to go, our family is exposed to many other families and have often heard the good, the bad, and the ugly in terms of reaction to various Parish and school policy. I think having an ear to the ground and an appreciation for what the community is experiencing is an important factor in Council membership. My hope is to provide to the Council insights, experiences and voice from the community as an at-large representative, but with a measured and strategic perspective for the long term good of the Parish.
In sum, I’m honored to accept the nomination, and I think I can be a useful and thoughtful voice to the Council.
Thank you.

I have been a member of Nativity Catholic Church for around 14 years now. I have been married to Kelly Kaufman for almost 17 years. We have 2 children that attend Nativity Catholic School, Luke (age 13, 8th grade) and Emily (age 10, 5th grade). I have regularly volunteered to coach youth sports for both of our children for the past 10 years as a head coach and assistant coach in a variety of activities including soccer, baseball, basketball and softball. I have worked in the Information Technology field for 28 years as my occupation. I have had a variety of roles and responsibilities including Web Designer, Network Administrator, Network Engineer and most recently managing an Infrastructure team that is responsible for the security and data protection of the employees and of the organization I am employed by. I have also manage a variety of events that our team supports as remote offices and setups throughout the country for the past 25 years.
I believe I would be a strong fit for this position because I am deeply committed to serving the diverse needs of our entire parish community. I bring a collaborative spirit, a strong sense of accountability, and a genuine desire to help enhance experiences for all parishioners. My ability to listen to constituents, analyze issues thoughtfully, and make balanced, informed decisions allows me to be an effective advocate for both long-term planning and immediate community concerns. With a great understanding of our parish’s challenges and opportunities, I am ready to represent all voices fairly and work toward solutions that benefit the greater good of Nativity Catholic Church.
Thank you,
Nathan

My name is Kollin Anslow. My wife Mallory and I have been parishioners at Nativity Catholic Church since 2016. Being a recent convert, I considered myself a full parishioner when I completed RCIA in 2023. I have four children, all of whom have attended Nativity Catholic School since preschool. In the fall, Mason will be in 6th grade, Adlee will be in 4th grade, and my twin daughters, Ayla and Monroe, will be in Kindergarten.
I hope you will consider voting for me for the position for the School Commission. I have a strong stance on the safety of the students and staff at Nativity. I am currently in my 16th year with the IMPD and have done a variety of jobs within the department. I spent 10.5 years patrolling the streets of Indianapolis. Since July 2021, I have been in Criminal Investigation, during which I have investigated Child Abuse, Sex Crimes, and Domestic Violence.
I am currently one of the 5/6 Boys Football and Basketball Coaches. I am the Athletic Treasure for the Nativity Athletic Committee. I am also a part of the Nativity School Safety Committee as well as the Safety Coordinator for Augustravaganza.
Again, I am fully committed to making sure the students and staff at Nativity Catholic School are as safe as we can make them. This includes ensuring they have the correct tools and resources available. I have and will continue to work with the officers from the Franklin Township School Police. These officers have brought the “I luv u guys” foundation to Nativity to help ensure we are up to date with the latest safety protocols. I will also ensure that staff is held to the highest of standards when it comes to our student safety.
Respectfully,
Kollin Anslow
With a lifelong dedication to Catholic education, I began my teaching career in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in 1978. For 19 years, I taught elementary grades, helping to shape young minds with a commitment to academic excellence and faith-based values. I later transitioned into school leadership, serving as principal at both Holy Cross Central School and St. Philip Neri School. In 2008, I became principal at Nativity Catholic School, a role I held with pride until my retirement in 2022.
In addition to my work in education, I am passionate about supporting women’s health initiatives. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Ovar'coming, an Indiana-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
I am the proud parent of two adult children and a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family.

My name is Shannon Cox and my children Alice and Evan Cox will be 8th and 6th graders for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
I moved to Indianapolis in 2004 with my wife Dr. LeeAnn Cox. We were parishioners of Our Lady Greenwood from 2006 to the time we transitioned to Nativity Catholic Church in 2018. The children started attending Nativity Catholic School 2022 after the Covid-19 pandemic.
I graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelors degree. Formerly worked for Kindred Healthcare as a district employee managing 34 nursing homes in Indiana and Ohio until 2012 when my daughter Alice was born. It was then decided best for my family to be a stay at home father and run a small farm with our loving donkeys.
I would cherish the opportunity to be a part of the Commission to consult Principal Keiser in the future. I believe it is important to maintain the standard of excellence, love, empathy and service to the Lord.
Thank you for your consideration.

My name is Jill Kruse, and I am a proud parent and active parishioner of Nativity Catholic School. I have a lifelong connection to Catholic education, having attended Little Flower Catholic Grade School and Scecina Memorial High School. After high school, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Indiana University. During my time at IU, I completed an internship that led to a full-time position—one I’ve held for the past 15 years.
My commitment to Nativity runs deep. I am actively involved in many areas of the school and parish community, and I am passionate about supporting the school’s leadership. My goal is to help Nativity reach its full potential and continue growing as a faith-filled, academically excellent institution for all students.

To the Nativity School Commission Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my sincere interest in serving on the Nativity Catholic School Commission. As a parent, alumna of Catholic education, and active member of our faith community, I would be honored to support the mission and future of Nativity through this role.
I grew up just a town over and attended St. Joseph Catholic School as one of six children in a family deeply rooted in service. My father served as a Judge in our community for 40 years, and that legacy of civic responsibility continues to shape how I approach leadership and service.
After earning my bachelor's degree from IUPUI in 2009, I began my professional career and currently serve as a Principal Renewals Manager at Salesforce. In addition to my career and family life, I’ve also been privileged to serve on the Board of Directors for the Riley Children’s Foundation for six years. In that capacity, I’ve been involved in hospital policy development, fundraising initiatives, and advocacy for grants supporting medical research and physician-led programs.
My wife and I were married in 2011, and we now have three children—two of whom currently attend Nativity, with our youngest soon to follow. As both a parent and an alumna of Catholic education, I am passionate about the formation of children in an environment that prioritizes faith, values, and academic excellence.
I believe my background in nonprofit governance, corporate leadership, and Catholic education gives me a well-rounded perspective to contribute meaningfully to the School Commission. I would be grateful for the opportunity to serve and help ensure a strong, faithful, and vibrant future for Nativity.
Thank you for your consideration.
In Christ,
Adam O’Connor
I am a lifelong member of Nativity and have 4 kids who attend/graduated from Nativity with our oldest recently graduating Roncalli. Next year we will have a Junior at Roncalli and a 7th and 5th grader at Nativity. I believe volunteering is a critical part of our Stewardship and serving our Parish. My wife and I are very active in the Parish having spent 16 years as Chairs of Augustravaganza. I also volunteer as a coach for boys and girls basketball, Track and Field, and I am a member of the Nativity Dads Group and the Knights of Columbus. I was able to serve the School Commission previously from 2019-2023 and look forward to being able to serve again.
Thanks,
Adam Smith
